FDNY TO CELEBRATE THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY
OF LADDER COMPANY 125
Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta and Chief of Department Salvatore J. Cassano will join the officers and members of Ladder Company 125 in Fresh Meadows, Queens tomorrow as they celebrate 100 years of dedicated service to the community and the City. Former members also are expected to attend the ceremony.
Members of Ladder Company 125 have received numerous unit citations and Department medals over the last 100 years, including Lt. Joseph Fernicola, who received the prestigious Thomas A. Kenny Memorial Medal last year for saving four people at a fire in Jamaica, Queens.
