FIRE COMMISSIONER NICHOLAS SCOPPETTA
TO OFFICIATE AT PROMOTIONAL CEREMONY FOR 42 MEMBERS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT

New York City Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta will preside at a promotional ceremony for members of the FDNY, tomorrow, August 16, 2007. Forty-two members will be elevated to various ranks: Two to the rank of Assistant Chief, one to the rank of Deputy Assistant Chief, 15 to the rank of Lieutenant and 24 to the rank of Fire Marshal. The newly promoted Officers and Fire Marshals will be assigned to various divisions throughout the Department.
