FDNY TO TEAM-UP WITH THE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION TO HELP SAVE LIVES
Members of the New York City Fire Department will canvas the streets of Times Square today in an effort to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s (MDA) Fill-The-Boot Campaign. The Campaign was started last year to generate money to help support MDA services and research.
MDA works to help more than two thousand families in the Manhattan area who live with over 43 different neuromuscular diseases. Since 1954, the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) has been the number one supporter of MDA, raising over 253 million dollars across America in an effort to find cures for neuromuscular diseases.
