FDNY TO CELEBRATE THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF
ENGINE COMPANY 298/LADDER 127/BATTALION 50
Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta tomorrow will join the officers and members of Engine Company 298/Ladder Company 127/Battalion 50 in Queens as they celebrate 100 years of dedicated service to the community. A plaque will be dedicated to two former members who died in the line of duty -- Firefighter Garrett Langdon of Engine Company 298 who died on Dec. 6, 1953 , and Firefighter George Murphy of Ladder Company 127 who died on July 21, 1956 .
