FIRE COMMISSIONER SCOPPETTA PRESIDES AT PROMOTIONAL
CEREMONY FOR 26 MEMBERS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta will preside at a promotional ceremony tomorrow for 26 members of the New York City Fire Department. Among them is William Siegel, a 38-year FDNY veteran who will be elevated to the rank of Deputy Assistant Chief and has been selected to lead the Special Operations Command.
Four members will be promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief and four others will be promoted to the rank of Battalion Chief. Fifteen members will be elevated to the rank of lieutenant, and two firefighters will be promoted to the rank of Provisional Marine Wiper.
The newly promoted members will be assigned to various units throughout the City.
