12th ANNUAL FDNY FAMILY WEEEKEND CELEBRATION AT THE INTREPID SEA, AIR & SPACE MUSEUM
The New York City Fire Department will hold its 12th annual FDNY Family Weekend on Saturday, July 15 and Sunday, July 16, from 1:00 to 4:00PM, at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum.
The event kicks off on Saturday with a fireboat water display by Marine Company 1. Other activities will include an FDNY rescue demonstration, bunker gear try-on contest and a chance for visitors to board an aircraft carrier and missile submarine. There will also be a free tour of the Concorde.
On Saturday, spectators will have an opportunity to enjoy music from the FDNY member band “G-String”. The band will play popular tunes from artists such as Bruce Springsteen and the Beach Boys.
