FIRE COMMISSIONER NICHOLAS SCOPPETTA
TO OFFICIATE
AT PROMOTIONAL CEREMONY FOR 60 NEWLY APPOINTED
FIRE LIEUTENANTS
Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta will preside tomorrow over the promotion ceremony for 60 newly appointed Fire Lieutenants. The new officers will be assigned to various battalions and companies throughout the Department.
One of the promotees, Fire Marshal Andrew DiFusco, was responsible for the arrest of Savanna Johnson who pled guilty to arson earlier this week. She was sentenced to eight years for the fire in the H & M store at 125 West 125 Street in Harlem that occurred on April 17, 2005.
