Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta To Preside Over Graduation Ceremony For 183 Probationary Firefighters
Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta tomorrow will preside over a graduation ceremony for
183 Probationary Firefighters. The “Probies” have successfully completed the rigorous 13-week training program and will now be assigned to fire companies throughout the five boroughs. One of tomorrow’s graduates is related to a member who made the Supreme Sacrifice on September 11, 2001.
The graduating class also includes 21 firefighters who previously served in the military.
