BRONX FIRE COMPANIES CELEBRATE 100 YEARS OF SERVICE

Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta tomorrow will join the Officers and members of Engine Company 83 and Ladder Company 29 in the Bronx as they celebrate 100 years of dedicated service to the community. In honor of their centennial a commemorative plaque will be unveiled. Engine 83 and Ladder 29 were organized in their current location on February 1, 1906.

Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta, FDNY Chief of Operations Salvatore Cassano, members of Engine 83, Ladder 29, and many other members of the department and the community

WHAT:

Centennial celebration and plaque unveiling (11:00 AM Mass)

WHERE:

Quarters of Engine Company 83/ Ladder Company 29 @ 618 East 138th Street, Bronx, NY.

WHEN:

Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at 11:00AM (***11:00 AM Mass will be followed by the plaque unveiling at 12:00 noon***)
