FIRE COMMISSIONER NICHOLAS SCOPPETTA
TO PRESIDE AT PLAQUE DEDICATION CEREMONY
FOR FIREFIGHTER RICHARD T. SCLAFANI
Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta tomorrow will preside over a plaque dedication ceremony to honor the memory of Firefighter Richard T. Sclafani. The ceremony will take place at the quarters of Engine Company 290 / Ladder Company 103, in the East New York section of Brooklyn. Firefighter Sclafani was killed in the line of duty on January 23, 2005 while fighting a two-alarm fire in a residential dwelling at 577 Jerome Street in Brooklyn.
