FIRE COMMISSIONER NICHOLAS SCOPPETTA TO DISCUSS FIRE SAFETY AND THE TRAGEDY THAT OCCURRED IN QUEENS

Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta will hold a press conference today at 2:00 PM at Fire Department Headquarters to discuss fire safety and the tragedy that occurred yesterday evening at 40-77 Denman Street in Queens. The press conference will focus on the butane lighter that sparked the fire, and the fact that this can be a dangerous and deadly device in the hands of children.
