BROOKLYN BOROUGH PRESIDENT MARTY MARKOWITZ
TO UNVEIL NEW FDNY FIRE SAFETY EXPERIENCE
Traveling educational resource is the first of three mobile fire safety exhibits
funded in part by $75,000 from First Alert
Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta and the FDNY Fire Safety Education Fund will join Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and First Alert to unveil the newest tool in the department’s fire safety education efforts, the “Fire Safety Experience,” the first of three live, traveling, fire safety exhibits that will bring the lifesaving message of fire safety into every community in New York City.
This trailer is the first of three vehicles donated by First Alert that will be converted by the Fire Department and the FDNY Fire Safety Education fund over the coming months. These new vehicles will travel throughout the city, teaching fire safety, focusing on communities identified as having an increased number fires and fire related injuries or fatalities.
