FIRE COMMISSIONER NICHOLAS SCOPPETTA TO ATTEND FUNERAL SERVICE FOR FIREFIGHTER KEITHROY M. MAYNARD

30-year old firefighter killed on September 11, 2001

Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta on Saturday will attend the funeral service for Firefighter Keithroy M. Maynard of Engine Company 33 in Manhattan . Maynard was one of seven members of Engine Company 33 to be killed on September 11, 2001. The funeral will be held at 11 am at the Church of the Master located at 86 Morningside Avenue in Manhattan.

His partner, Sharon Cole and a son, Keithroy Maynard II, survive him. His mother Pearl , his twin brother Kevin Maynard, two other brothers— Vernon Maynard and Duane White along with two sisters Karen and Jackie, also survive him. A memorial service was held in his memory on November 14, 2001.
