FIRE COMMISSIONER NICHOLAS SCOPPETTA
TO PRESIDE AT PROMOTIONAL CEREMONY FOR
34 MEMBERS OF THE NEW YORK CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT
Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta tomorrow
will preside over a promotional ceremony for 34 members of
the New York City Fire Department. The ceremony will include
the promotion of three Battalion Chiefs, eight fire Captains,
15 fire Lieutenants and seven EMS Captains. Also being promoted
at tomorrow’s event to the rank of FDNY Assistant Chief
will be FDNY Chief of Safety, Deputy Assistant Chief Allen
Hay. The newly promoted members will be assigned to various
units throughout the City. The ceremony will take place inside
Building 9 at the FDNY Fire Academy on Randall’s Island.
