FIRE COMMISSIONER NICHOLAS SCOPPETTA
TO PRESIDE AT PLAQUE DEDICATION CEREMONY
FOR FIREFIGHTER JAMES O’SHEA
Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta tomorrow will preside over plaque dedication ceremony to honor the memory of Firefighter James O’Shea. The ceremony will take place at the quarters of Ladder Company 127, Queens , O’Shea’s assigned unit. Firefighter O’Shea suffered a fatal heart attack at his home following completion of his tour of duty on September 27, 2003 . He was the first firefighter to die in the line of duty since the attacks on the World Trade Center . His wife Yetta, along with other members of the O’Shea family, Fire Department and Union Officials will join Commissioner Scoppetta at tomorrow’s ceremony.
