DR. RONAN TYNAN ANNOUNCES CONCERT FOR
THE BRAVEST
Internationally
renowned Irish Tenor, Dr. Ronan Tynan will join members of the New York
City Fire Department and the Fire Safety Education Fund to announce a
special concert on November 15, 2004 which will benefit the New York City
Fire Department’s Fire Safety Education Fund.
Proceeds from the November 15, 2004 concert which will be held at Lincoln
Center ’s Avery Fisher Hall will support the FDNY Fire Safety Education
Fund in its efforts to promote educational programs to help reduce the
incidence of serious fires and fire fatalities among civilians and firefighters.
This is Ronan’s last scheduled concert performance in the tri-state
area until his tour begins in late Spring 2005 in support of his new solo
album release.
Universal Classics' recording Artist, Ronan Tynan, has won the hearts
of all New Yorkers - and Americans - with his outstanding talent and exceptional
personality and the outpouring of support he lent the city in the hours,
days and months following the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Most
recently his beautiful and gentle voice touched the entire world as he
paid tribute to Ronald Reagan at the former President’s funeral
service.
The Fire Safety Education Fund supplements the life saving work of the
FDNY, a critically important mission in the post 9/11 era. Last year,
with the support of loyal donors, the Fund educated more than 120,000
people in fire safety and life-saving skills and awarded nearly $2 Million
to the Department to purchase post radios and repeaters, radiation-detection
dosimeters and chargers, Panasonic Toughbooks and Marine Navigating Software.
Funds also equipped two mobile command posts with video capabilities,
sponsored tabletop exercises for anti-terrorism training, and underwrote
the second year of the FDNY Officers’ Management Institute.
Tickets: $50, $75, $125, $200 and $500. $500 ticket includes admission
to a VIP cocktail reception with Ronan Tynan following the concert. Tickets
for the concert can be purchased by calling 212-721-6500, or by visiting
www.lincolncenter.org. Tickets for the VIP cocktail reception can
be purchased by calling 212-344-2145, ext. 204 or 201.
