Fire Department and Mayors Office of Immigrant Affairs identify additional firehouses as collection points for Hurricane Relief
The Fire Department and the Mayors Office of Immigrant Affairs have identified four additional firehouses, three in Manhattan and one in Staten Island, as hurricane relief collection points for non-perishable food items. The addition of these four firehouses brings the total number of houses collecting food to 13, and provides points of collection in all five boroughs. The collections will serve to help aid those severely affected in Haiti, Grenada, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Bahamas, and Dominican Republic by the rash of violent weather that has swept through the countries. Anyone interested in donating food items are asked to place the items in a box or a clear plastic bag for drop off at one the firehouses listed below:
