FIRE COMMISSIONER NICHOLAS SCOPPETTA
TO ACCEPT DONATION OF MOBILE COMMAND CENTER
FROM LEARY FIREFIGHTERS FOUNDATION
State-of-the-Art Mobile Command Center
will be unveiled at Rockefeller Plaza

Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta tomorrow will accept donation of a new state-of-the-art Mobile Command Center donated by Denis Leary and the Leary Firefighters Foundation with the support of the FDNY Fire Safety Education Fund.

The $565,000 Mobile Command Center has a wide range of capabilities including full-scale interagency communication including a video link to police helicopters. The Command Center will serve as the FDNY’s command post at large-scale incidents - acting as a central point of contact for Fire and other Agency and City officials - and will be deployed at high profile events including the upcoming Republican National Convention.
