Engine Company 43 Celebrates
100th Anniversary of Serving the Bronx

Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta tomorrow will join the members of Engine 43 in the Bronx to celebrate the engine company’s 100th Anniversary with an official plaque dedication ceremony. Engine 43, known as the “Sedgwick Slashers,” serves the University Heights/Morris Heights neighborhood in the Bronx and is housed with Ladder Company 59 on Sedgwick Avenue.

More than 150 people are expected to attend the ceremony. A banquet at the Marina Del Rey will follow the ceremony.
