FIRE COMMISSIONER NICHOLAS SCOPPETTA TO
CELEBRATE THE OFFICIAL RE-OPENING OF
ENGINE 1 AND LADDER 24 IN MANHATTAN
Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta will join the members of Engine Co. 1 and Ladder Co. 24 Saturday April 17, 2004 at the official re-opening of their newly renovated quarters.
The companies moved into their current quarters on November 3, 1946. The extensive and much needed renovations included a new apparatus floor, new Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems and electrical systems as well as many other upgrades designed to modernize and increase the efficiency of the firehouse.
