MEDIA ADVISORY:
FIRE COMMISSIONER NICHOLAS SCOPPETTA TO OFFICIATE
AT PROMOTIONAL CEREMONY FOR 25 MEMBERS
OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta will preside at a promotional ceremony for 25 members of the Fire Department. The ceremony will include the designation of Assistant Chief Thomas R. Galvin as the Chief of Training. Chief James A. Jackson will be promoted to Assistant Chief of Fire Prevention and Chief Thomas J. Haring will be promoted to Assistant Chief and designated Brooklyn Borough Commander. In addition two members will be promoted to the Rank of Deputy Assistant Chief, five to the rank of Captain and 15 to the rank of Lieutenant. The newly promoted officers will be assigned to divisions throughout the Department.
