MEDIA ADVISORY:
FIRE COMMISSIONER NICHOLAS SCOPPETTA TO UNVEIL
NEWLY CONSTRUCTED EMS STATION IN STATEN ISLAND
Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta tomorrow
will unveil the newly constructed EMS Battalion 23 in the
Rossville community of Staten Island. The state-of-the-art
14,227 square foot station is located at 1100 Rossville Avenue
in one of the fastest growing communities in New York State.
The City’s Department of Design and Construction (DDC)
created the master design plans and oversaw construction at
the EMS Station. Construction was completed in August 2003
at a cost of $10.7 million.
