NEW YORK CITY FIRE MARSHAL
TO RECEIVE ACE ADULT LEARNER OF THE YEAR AWARD
On Friday, October 24, 2003, New York City Fire Marshal Richard
Giampaolo will be awarded the American Council on Education
(ACE) Adult Learner of the Year Award. The Adult Learner of
the Year Award is presented annually to an adult learner who
uses ACE College Credit Recommendations to earn a college
degree or advance his or her career. Recipients must demonstrate
outstanding achievements in their community or workplace while
successfully balancing the demands of family, career, and
education.
For more than 60 years, ACE has served as the nation’s
leader for evaluating education and training attained outside
the classroom.
