Change Your Clocks, Change Your Batteries

The FDNY wants to remind all New Yorkers to change the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms when they change their clocks for the start of Daylight Saving Time on Sun., March 9.

The Fire Safety Education Unit will be distributing alarm batteries and fire safety information in different languages throughout the five boroughs. Locations include:

Thurs., March 6
Brooklyn
Corner of Lee Avenue and Williamsburg Street East, 12 to 4 p.m.
Corner of 13th Avenue and 53rd Street, 12 to 4 p.m.
Corner of Avenue L and Coney Island Avenue, 12 to 4 p.m.
Target, Atlantic Terminal, 139 Flatbush Ave., 4-8pm

Brooklyn
Corner of Stillwell Avenue and Mermaid Avenue, Stillwell Avenue Station, 4 to 6 p.m.
