FDNY Members March in 2013 St. Patrick's Day Parade

FDNY members carry 343 flags, representing the members who died at the World Trade Center in 2001, in the 2013 St. Patrick's Day Parade.

The cold and snow did not dampen the spirits of hundreds of FDNY members who marched up Fifth Avenue for the 2013 St. Patrick's Day Parade.

The annual celebration, known as one of the largest in the world, included performances by the Emerald Society Pipes and Drums Band and FDNY EMS Pipes and Drums Band. Immediately after the Parade ended, the EMS Band members traveled to Dublin, Ireland, where they were invited to play in numerous St. Patrick's Day celebrations.
