FDNY Members Mark 11th Anniversary of 9/11 Terrorist Attacks

Family and friends left flowers and flags at the National Sept. 11 Memorial in Lower Manhattan on the 11th anniversary of the terror attacks.

FDNY members gathered at numerous ceremonies throughout the five boroughs on Sept. 11 to mark the 11^th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that killed 343 members.

Events included the annual reading of the names at the 9/11 Memorial, a tribute at the Fireman’s Monument, a ceremony at the 9/11 Memorial at the FDNY’s EMS Academy and smaller observances at various FDNY units.
