FDNY Wins Morton's First Annual Cook Off

It was a culinary battle of the badges on July 27 as Morton's Steakhouse sponsored an FDNY vs. NYPD cook off outside their restaurant in downtown Brooklyn.

Firefighters Steve Brunner, Danny Fitzpatrick and Jose Cruz from Ladder 36 and Scott Worontzoff from Engine 58 made four dishes that were judged on taste, presentation and creativity by four judges, including New York Jets defensive end and linebacker Jamal Westerman.

The FDNY team was cheered by the crowd as they won first place honors.
