Minority and Women Business Enterprise Procurement Opportunities

New York City Promotes the Minority-and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Program. FDNY works to ensure the participation of minority-and women-owned businesses in the New York City procurement process. The program, established by Local Law 129, enhances contracting opportunities and sets participation goals for prime contracts and for subcontracts valued at under one million dollars.

The Fire Department is committed to promoting diversity by working with minority-focused and small business groups that support M/WBE’s inclusion in the solicitation of bids.

If you are interested in current contracting opportunities with FDNY, please visit: http://www.nyc.gov/html/fdny/html/contracting/index.shtml

Firms that have been in business for over one year and that are at least 51% owned by a minority or woman are eligible for certification.

If you are interested in becoming certified as an M/WBE, or in utilizing certified M/WBEs for subcontracting work, click below to access the New York City Department of Small Business Services website for further information: http://www.nyc.gov/html/sbs/html/procurement/mwbe.shtml

Thank you for visiting our website. In promoting this program, we are interested in publicizing this site to M/WBE firms and would appreciate your taking a moment to fill out the following questionnaire.
