City Wide Sprinkler Systems

The study materials include information taken from the New 2008 New York City Fire Code (FC) Chapter 9, Fire Department Rules Chapter 9 and NFPA Standard 25, (2002 Edition) Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Water Based Fire Protection Systems.

IMPORTANT DATES:

• The S12 test will become available on December 6th but applicants can still take the W12 until December 31, 2010.
• The S12 test will be available and the W12 test will be no longer be available on January 1, 2011.
• Inspections conducted by holders from category using W12 & S12 will be accepted by the FDNY throughout the calendar year 2011. 
• Inspections for holders from category using W12 will no longer accepted for Citywide inspections as of January 1, 2012.
