Drive Electric is a project of the New York City Mayor’s Office, made possible through a grant from the Urban Sustainability Directors Network. It is an effort to make it easier for New Yorkers choosing to own a car to buy electric vehicles, which create less noise, air, and climate pollution. This helps fulfill the goals of PlaNYC, the City’s blueprint for growing greener and greater.
Drive Electric is also collaborating with and learning from the cities of Boston and Philadelphia. Together these cities form the Northeast Regional Electric Vehicle Partnership (NEREVP). By pooling outreach, infrastructure deployment experience, and policy efforts we can keep the Northeast at the forefront of clean vehicle usage.
Hello Electric, a global grassroots movement that supports electric vehicles, partnered with the city in creating the site’s design and content.
