ECB can hear some cases online in "One-Click Hearings." A One-Click Hearing means you will not have to come to ECB. Instead, you may use the e-form below to contest your ticket online. A judge will decide the case by considering the ticket, your written answer, and any evidence you submit. ECB can hear certain types of cases online.
Are you eligible?

You can also look at the section on your ticket marked “SECTION/RULE ” to to see if your ticket matches a section or rule in the table below. This table lists case types with links to questionnaires which will help you write your defense.
You may also request a One-Click Hearing if the person named on the ticket died before the ticket was issued. Make sure to include a copy of the person's death certificate with your request.
You may also have a One-Click Hearing if you used to own or manage or control the property but you did not own, manage or control the property on the date the ticket was issued. If this is your claim, make sure to attach any documents you have that show when your connection to the property ended.
What do you need to do?
If you want to have a One-Click Hearing and your case is eligible, click on the link below to use the One-Click Hearing E-Form and enter all the information which is required. You may write up to ten pages explaining why you think the ticket should be dismissed and you may attach up to three files of supporting documentation with a maximum total size of 3MB. If your submission exceeds these limits, then One-Click Hearings may not be the right option for you. You may choose to have your hearing by mail or attend an in-person hearing.
Once you submit the e-form, you will receive a time-stamped email receipt which you should save for your records. Your submission will automatically be sent to a judge who will send you the decision and order in your case by mail, at the mailing address you include on your e-form. Please note, ECB will only consider the first one-click form that you submit for each Notice of Violation.

Your written defense should respond to all of those questions and include any other reason why you think your ticket should be dismissed.
