Request for Proposals Name: Schools Out NYC Middle School Expansion Technical Assistance RFP
Pin #: 26014P0005
RFP Release Date: August 4, 2014
Deadline for Proposals: September 2, 2014
Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) is seeking appropriately qualified vendors to provide technical assistance (TA) to DYCD-funded not-for-profit organizations that operate Out-of-School Time (OST) programs for middle school youth, hereafter referred to as Schools Out NYC (SONYC) programs. TA services will support effective implementation of DYCD-funded SONYC programs, including programs under existing contracts that are subject to new requirements. This notable investment in TA reflects the expansion of SONYC programs, the agency’s past experience of common challenges faced by many of its contractors serving middle school youth, and emerging research on issues relating to the administrative capacity of organizations providing afterschool services. The anticipated started date for these services will be October 1, 2014.
