Discretionary Contracts

Welcome to the Office of Contract Procurement’s page for Discretionary Contracts.

Discretionary funds are funds that non-profit, community-based social service providers use to meet the needs of local communities. The funds are allocated by the Members of the New York City Council. City agencies, such as DYCD, administer Discretionary contract funds.

The Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) is offering workshops to assist in completing DYCD contract packages for Fiscal Year 2016. DYCD staff will be outlining the Discretionary process and monitoring procedures. We encourage all our providers to attend at least one of the sessions as DYCD staff will be there to answer any questions. Please set up an appointment for one of the following date(s) and time(s) by emailing discretionary@dycd.nyc.gov.

Program Managers are developing schedules for contract assistance sessions.
Please check the website regularly for dates and times.
