Family Development Association of New York State (FDANYS) - New York City Regional Chapter

The Family Development Association of New York State (FDANYS) is a professional membership association for family development practitioners and those interested in promoting the family development approach to working with families. Its mission is to support the growth of individuals, families, and communities by promoting the family development philosophy.

Comprised of eight regional chapters throughout New York State and directed by a 21-member board of directors, FDANYS is the result of a collaborative effort involving various New York State agencies, including the New York State Department of State and the New York State Community Action Association.

The Family Development Unit coordinates the activities of the New York City Regional Chapter and sponsors workshops and programs that address concerns, issues, and interests of family and frontline workers.

For information on upcoming FDANYS activities, please contact Meryl M. Jones at 212-341-9568. For information on statewide activities, access the Web site at www.fdanys.org.
