Legal Services for Immigrant Youth

Legal Services for Immigrant Youth seek to assist two separate groups of immigrant youth who have a specific need for legal services.

These groups are:

  • Immigrant youth between the ages of 15 and 20 living in foster homes or group homes who may be aging out and are eligible forthe Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) Program
  • Unaccompanied immigrant youth, who may be fleeing political unrest, parental abuse or neglect, poverty or are victims of human trafficking
The program also addresses the social service needs of unaccompanied youth, such as housing, education, health and mental health care and other social services and benefits for which they qualify.
