Legal Assistance

New York City owes its vitality to the waves of immigrants who came here looking for a better life. It's crucial that we continue to welcome new immigrants, and give those already here the opportunity to stay. Obtaining permanent residency and/or U.S. citizenship gives immigrants full access to benefits and services and prevents them from having to rely on unregulated structures. Legal status supports immigrants' interest in their communities and strengthens New York City's neighborhoods.
