"DYCD Skate Day" At the Pond at Bryant Park Celebrates New York City Afteschool Programs

On December 28, 2007 hundreds of young participants in New York City’s Out-of-School Time (OST), Beacon Community Centers and Teen ACTION initiatives take to the ice at The Pond at Bryant Park for “DYCD Skate Day.”  The Pond donates rink time and skate rentals.  Now in its third year, this event is a fun reminder that Department of Youth and Community Development programs operate afterschool, throughout the summer, and during school holidays, including the winter break.
