DYCD is proud to support community-based organizations that are working to turn back the tide of HIV/AIDS through education and outreach. DYCD-funded programs provide a variety of services, including:
- Street outreach
- Counseling on HIV disclosure
- Mental health assessment
- Support groups
- Legal assistance to children, families, and caregivers
affected by HIV/AIDS
- Permanency planning
- Information on guardianship, kinship foster care, and
adoption
- Information on health care proxies, living wills, and wills
