Housing programs provide housing assistance to low-income tenants, homeowners and tenant groups with the goal of attaining and maintaining adequate, affordable, and safe housing. Programs assist individuals and families to address rent issues, code enforcement, and landlord neglect. Programs also provide information and advocacy on tenants’ rights, housing support programs, foreclosure prevention, and predatory lending practices.

There are 35 DYCD funded programs across New York City servicing approximately 4,500 families annually.
