October 24, 2004 - Pauline (Polly) M. Sanders Award
Commissioner Jeanne B. Mullgrav received the Pauline M. Sanders Award from the Association of New York State Youth Bureaus (ANYSYB) at the group's 34th annual conference, which was co-sponsored by DYCD. Named after the late Polly Sanders, who was a leader in the field of human services in New York State, the award is given for excellence in youth development programming.
March 24, 2004 - DYCD Assistant Commissioner Wins Sloan Public Service Award
Neil Berman, Assistant Commissioner for Information Technology, was presented with the 2004 Sloan Public Service Award by the Fund for the City of New York. Since 1973, the Fund's public service awards program has honored outstanding civil servants who clearly demonstrate extraordinary service to the public. Assistant Commissioner Berman was instrumental in the creation of DYCD's Comprehensive Contract Management System (CCMS), and has upgraded the agency's internal communications systems and network to accommodate demands stemming from the agency's rapid growth.
February 26, 2004 - City Council Outstanding Service to the City of New York
Commissioner Jeanne B. Mullgrav received the award for Outstanding Service to New York City by City Council members Diana Reyna and Miguel Martinez. The award was given in an event held at City Council Chambers in City Hall, in conjunction with the 160th anniversary of the Dominican Republic's independence.
February 15, 2004 - Leon Bogues Award for Commitment to Social Reform
Commissioner Jeanne B. Mullgrav was awarded the Leon Bogues Award for Commitment to Social Reform by the New York State Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators, Inc., in Albany, New York. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions in advancing the political, social, and economic plight of African American and Hispanic communities
January 16, 2004 - Isaac Lieberman Public Service Award
Regina Dillard, Director of Contract Development in Program Operations, was one of 19 New York City employees to receive an Isaac Lieberman Public Service Award. These awards recognize outstanding career civil servants.
