Welcome to the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) Web site! It is an honor to serve as Commissioner of DYCD, which embodies New York City's commitment to service.

DYCD funds a broad network of community-based organizations throughout the five boroughs. I invite you to explore our Web site and learn more about the wide array of youth and community development initiatives that DYCD funds, including afterschool programs, jobs, and internships for youth; programs for runaway and homeless youth; tutoring; leadership development; cultural enrichment; and services to combat poverty.
