Suspension of Alternate Side Parking Regulations

The de Blasio Administration today announced that Alternate Side Parking Regulations will be suspended for one week starting July 5, 2020 through Sunday, July 12, 2020.

The City may extend the suspension based on street cleanliness and workforce availability. Any New Yorker under isolation who has received a ticket can appeal to the Department of Finance and should provide medical documentation or testimony, which will be taken into consideration when their case is reviewed.

As a reminder, the city has ended twice-weekly street cleanings on residential side streets. Streets with multiple ASP days will be cleaned on the last day of the week on each side as posted on each street’s currently posted sign. Daily sweeping regulations in metered areas will not change, and DSNY will continue cleaning streets with posted No Standing, No Stopping and No Parking regulations as needed.

Payment at parking meters will remain in effect throughout the City.
