NYC DOT Suspends Alternate Side Parking Regulations Through Saturday, Nov. 10. Regulations Also Suspended On Monday, Nov. 12 For Veterans Day
The New York City Department of Transportation, in conjunction with the Department of Sanitation, today announced that Alternate Side Parking regulations will be suspended citywide through Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, to facilitate storm recovery efforts. Alternate Side Parking regulations are not in effect on Sunday, Nov. 11 and will also be suspended for Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 12, as previously scheduled. All other parking regulations, including parking meter, remain in effect.

The New York City Department of Transportation, in conjunction with the Department of Sanitation, today announced that Alternate Side Parking regulations are suspended citywide tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, to facilitate storm recovery efforts. All other parking regulations remain in effect.

Suspension of Alternate Side Parking Regulations for Mon., Nov. 5 and Tues., Nov. 6
The New York City Department of Transportation, in conjunction with the Department of Sanitation, today announced that Alternate Side Parking (ASP) regulations are suspended citywide tomorrow, Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, to facilitate storm recovery efforts. ASP regulations also are suspended on Tuesday, Nov. 6, for Election Day. All other parking regulations remain in effect.

NYC DOT Removes HOV3+ Restrictions at East River Crossings as Transit Repairs Progress
New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) today announced that the high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) access restrictions to vehicles with fewer than three people will be rescinded on the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, Williamsburg Bridge and Ed Koch-Queensboro Bridge, effective Friday, Nov. 2. at 5 p.m. as repairs to the city's transit system continue. Additional changes and updates to the transportation response will be issued as necessary. In conjunction with the Department of Sanitation, DOT also announced that Alternate Side Parking regulations will be suspended on Saturday Nov. 3. All other parking regulations remain in effect.

NYC DOT Commissioner And S.I. Elected Official Announce Service Resumes For Staten Island Ferry
NYC Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan today announced that Staten Island Ferry service resumed at noon on Friday, Nov. 2., after around-the-clock efforts to repair damage related to Hurricane Sandy. The Staten Island ferryboat Sen. John J. Marchi departed from the St. George terminal at noon, followed by half-hourly service in both directions for the remainder of the afternoon, with regular service on Saturday, Nov. 3 and with augmented service scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 4 for the ING NYC Marathon. The Commissioner was joined by Council Member Debi Rose at the St. George terminal for the first ferry departing since the storm.

Staten Island Ferry Service to Resume at Noon Today, Friday, Nov. 2
The NYC Department of Transportation today announced that Staten Island Ferry Service is scheduled to resume service at noon on Friday, Nov. 2., following repairs to damage caused by Hurricane Sandy. The first Staten Island Ferry will depart from the St. George terminal at noon, followed by half-hourly service in both directions. Additional schedule details will be provided.

Statement of NYC DOT Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan on Recovery Efforts Related to the Staten Island Ferry and its Terminals
There was considerable damage to the terminals and to the electrical components of the docks that operate the movable ramps, all of which were submerged in the storm surge. As we've cleaned the terminals around the clock and closely assessed and repaired each slip we're getting closer to having all the pieces necessary to restore service safely.

FDR Drive Reopen to Traffic: Northbound Lanes from the Battery to Dyckman Street and Southbound Lanes from E. 125th to the Brooklyn Bridge
The New York City Department of Transportation today announced that the northbound lanes of the FDR Drive from the Battery to Dyckman Street and the southbound lanes from E. 125th Street to the Brooklyn Bridge are now open to vehicular traffic. Other sections will be opened as conditions permit.
