Sunday, May 3rd Street Closures for Five Boro Bike Tour
The New York City Department of Transportation today announced that rolling street, bridge and highway closures will occur on Sunday, May 3rd throughout the City to facilitate the annual TD Bank Five Boro Bike Tour. Beginning at 6:30 a.m. at Battery Park in Manhattan, rolling street closures will follow the bike tour as it moves along the 42-mile route through Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn before concluding in Staten Island at 6 p.m.

Commissioner Sadik-Khan to unveil sign marking origin of historic Lincoln Highway
New York City Department of Transportation Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan and the Lincoln Highway Association will unveil a sign at Times Square tomorrow—the bicentennial of the birth of Abraham Lincoln-marking the eastern terminus of the historic highway. Established in 1913, the Lincoln Highway was the nation's first transcontinental route, running from New York to San Francisco before falling into disuse with the advent of numbered, interstate routes.
