Press Release #07-38
All Lanes Now Open On West Street
The New York City Department of Transportation today announced that lane closures along West Street, in effect for the last three weeks due to further excavations for the search for possible remains of victims of 9/11, have been re-opened. Beginning on April 9th, 2007, one of three lanes was closed along the northbound portion of West Street between Liberty and Vesey Streets. The work was expected to last until May 13th, but it has been completed two weeks ahead of schedule. All detours and parking regulation changes associated with these closures are no longer in effect.
