Traffic Advisory for FDR Drive

The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) announced lane closures on the FDR Drive to facilitate emergency repairs. From midnight tonight until early Thursday morning the ramp to the Willis Avenue Bridge from the FDR Drive will be closed to all traffic. Motorists should use alternate routes such as the 135th street exit to the Madison Avenue Bridge or use the Triboro Bridge, which is a toll facility. The 1st avenue approach to the Willis Avenue Bridge will remain open and unchanged. Variable Message Signs (VMS) will be posted on the FDR and Traffic Agents will be posted on both sides of the Madison Avenue Bridge to keep traffic moving.
