The Doing Business Database Search and Lobbyist Search tools have been replaced by the NYC Transparency Search. The NYC Transparency Project website contains searchable information on campaign contributions, lobbying disclosure and discretionary awards. By combining data from multiple sources and presenting it in a single interface, the site improves access to reams of information and is a one-stop resource for New Yorkers attempting to better understand city government.
The NYC Transparency Project builds upon the 2006 and 2007 reforms of the City’s campaign finance and lobbying laws. Users can now simultaneously search six different New York City databases to obtain a comprehensive view into the relationships among people or organizations that lobby elected officials and agencies, have financial relationships with the City, or make campaign contributions.
Doing Business Search
The Doing Business Search provides access to information on entities and individuals that do business with the City of New York per Local Law 34 of 2007. This database provides the public, campaigns, and the City's Campaign Finance Board with data that will help ensure compliance with the law.
