Free Legal Clinic Offered for VCF Applicants

The New York City Bar Justice Center will offer a free legal clinic on December 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. in midtown Manhattan for people who need assistance in filing September 11 Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) claims. Pre-registration is required. To register or request more information, please call: 1-855-885-1555.

The VCF began accepting claims applications on its website in late October. Online Eligibility Forms will be used to determine whether or not someone is eligible for compensation through the VCF. Individuals found eligible will then be invited to complete the Compensation Form, which will be used to determine the amount of compensation an someone is owed.
