New WTC Memorial Medal Honors Firefighters June 8, 2011
Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and Fire Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano awarded FDNY’s newest medal, the World Trade Center Memorial Medal, to members of Engine Company 54 and Ladder Company 4 for helping successfully thwart a potentially deadly terrorist attack in Times Square on May 1, 2010.
