Senior officers from the Fire Brigade of the Federal
District in Brasilia toured the FDNY World Trade Center (WTC) Medical
Monitoring and Treatment Program and the WTC Environmental
Health Center as part of the brigade’s credentialing program.
“We wanted to better understand the United States’
response to large scale disasters,” said, Lt. Colonel Jose Francisco Goncalves, Jr., who is also a dentist. The group included doctors, nurses, psychologists and engineers who are senior managers in the brigade.
